For MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND the

WILLIAM RIS GALLERY is hosting a special free event of MUSIC by NORTH FORK COMMUNITY THEATRE. The singers of the production will perform several songs from its next production SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. The backdrop will be artwork by CHARLES WILDBANK & DAVID PEIKON. 

The play opens May 18th at the NORTH FORK COMMUNITY THEATRE. 

Sunday in the Park with George is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. It was inspired by the French pointillist painter Georges Seurat's painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. 

One of the most acclaimed musicals of our time, this moving study of the enigmatic painter Georges Seurat won a Pulitzer Prize and was nominated for an astounding 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
